COOL MJET NEWS...

For Immediate Release : St. Francis Regional Medical Center is new title sponsor of Minnesota Junior Elite Triathlon Team (MJET's).

(Eden Prairie, MN - 3/6/2010) Starting in 2010 and continuing through 2012, the St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, MN will be the main title sponsor of the Minnesota Junior Elite Triathlon Team (MJET’s). Over the past three years, the team was sponsored by Batteries Plus. Going forward the team will be named the St. Francis Medical Center MJET’s. The team continues to be owned and operated by SCS Multisport and will be based in Eden Prairie, MN. The team is also one of the original USA Triathlon High Performance Teams and are recognized across the nation for their athletes results, team format and youth development program.

“I am very excited to have St. Francis as our sponsor, stated team head coach Kris Swarthout. “St. Francis’s involvement in the team will allow us to grow and foster young triathletes here in Minnesota. Their commitment will be key in the teams longevity.”

The 2010 team consists of three internal squads: gold, silver and bronze. The gold team consists of the top 4 male and 4 female athletes ages 16-22. The silver team is a development squad of triathletes ages 16-22 and open to everyone. The bronze team (formerly know as Yellow Dots) is the organizations youth program for kids ages 9-15 and focuses on introductory level skills and fitness. All three teams wear the same uniform, practice together and benefit from team sponsors. Supporting sponsors for the 2010 are Gear West Bike & Triathlon and Enterprise Lighting. Equipment sponsors for 2010 are Quintana Roo, Zipp, TYR and Saris Cycling Group.
